Projects for Faculty and Students

Projects may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Susquehanna Bancshares Internship Program
  • Policy Research Shop – Selected students under the guidance of a Research Associate will be given an inside perspective on the policy making process by providing them opportunities to research topics critical to municipal, county or state governments that could culminate in testimony before such bodies.
  • Public Policy Minor – Students will identify a policy track customizing the focus of the minor. Possible policy tracks include: environment, land use, law, education, health, identity, urban issued, or a policy track of the students’ own design. Students will be provided a variety of perspectives on policy questions, such as how policy is defined and affected by changes in institutions, technology, markets, and values.

  • Public Affairs Forums for Student Organizations and Community

  • Leadership Fellows (for seniors only)
  • Leadership Associates (e.g., for selected students to spend a summer in Washington, D.C., following the freshman year subsequent to Civic Skills Training)
  • Student Publication(s) on Policy, Law or Social Justice
  • Activities related to Millersville’s American Democracy Project Affiliation
  • Funding Opportunities – individual students and student organizations will have access to CCERP grants to subsidize the above experiences and activities
