The courses are carefully sequenced so that students may build upon previously acquired knowledge and have opportunities to experience the integration of various bodies of knowledge.

Graduates of this program receive a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work (BASW) degree.

What Will You Learn?

Applicants to this program are expected to have completed coursework in the following areas as part of their associate degree: Modern Social Welfare Dilemmas, Human Behavior and the Social Environment, Human Biology, General Psychology, State & Local Government and Sociology of the Family.

With those prerequisites, students will dive deeper into the broad aspects of Social Work including Social Welfare Policy, Social Work Welfare & Law Writing, Human Diversity, Social Work Research and more. You are then encouraged to pursue areas of interest within the field of Social Work such as Aging, Alcoholism, Mental Health, Women's Issues and more.
