Careers in Psychology

An Environmental career

Environmental psychologists concern themselves with the relationship between psychological processes and the physical environment. These environments may range from homes and offices to urban areas and other regions. Environmental psychologists may find themselves doing basic research to determine people's attitudes toward different environments, or their sense of personal space. They may also become involved in applied research, for instance, evaluating an office design or assessing the psychological impact of a government plan to build a new waste-treatment plant.
