General Information
Fire Safety
The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) office provides the Millersville University Community with a variety of fire safety and fire protection services including fire drills, fire inspections and audits, and training.
Emergency Preparedness
The EHS office works closely with University Police, Facilities Operations, Health Services, and other University groups to prepare the campus community for an emergency or disaster, and to develop procedures to manage the emergency through a detailed emergency operations plan (EOP).
Pandemic Flu
Information on Millersville University preparedness for a possible outbreak of bird flu, swine flu, or other pandemic flu (influenza) virus.
Workers Compensation
The University workers compensation program covers all full-time, part-time and temporary, and student employees of Millersville University. Any full-time, part-time, temporary, or student employee of the University who is injured or suffers an occupational illness while on the job must report their injury to their supervisor and to Human Resources.

Information on various Millersville University workplace safety programs such as radiation safety, hazardous waste, and infectious waste programs can be found here. Safety training is available on a variety of topics.

EHS policies and programs can be found here as well as information on several university committees such as the Threat Assessment Team (TAT) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) committee.
Forms/Documents/Lists
Various EHS forms and documents can be found here, as well as lists of such information as the locations of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) in campus buildings, campus building street addresses, and meeting place safe occupancy levels.
