Print Journalism Option

The English Department provides an option in Print Media Studies for its majors. Courses offer both instruction in theoretical principles as well as practice in the various elements of print journalism beginning with the basics and progressing to the more advanced and sophisticated courses in editing and journalistic specialization. Whenever possible, field trips are provided, and students are encouraged to participate in internships which are arranged jointly by the English Department and the Office of Community and Academic Partnerships.
