Scholarships

University Based Scholarships

Each year, the African American and Latino/a alumni offer a scholarship to current students. Applications are available during the fall semester. Contact the Millersville University Alumni Office for more details.

During the spring semester, the President’s Commission on Cultural Diversity offers a book award to one Latino/a Studies Minor in honor of Dr. Rosario Caminero. Application guidelines are available from the Director of Latino/a Studies. The deadline for applying is the Friday after spring break.

Other University scholarships are announced through the Development and Financial Aid offices. Typically, the deadlines are at the beginning of the spring semester. See the Financial Aid webpage for more information.

Community Based Scholarships

Local county-based foundations have given generously to our students. They have a rigorous and early application process. For students from Berks County see: Centro Hispano, Berks County Foundation. For students from Lancaster County see: Lancaster County Foundation.

Estamos Unidos de Pennsylvania has also awarded generous scholarships to our students. Their application is due June 18. See the Director of Latino/a Studies for a copy of the application or visit their website directly at http://www.estamosunidospa.org

National Scholarships

Several national organizations offer competitive scholarships. We have been fortunate to have some of our students win these.
