Teaching and Research Interests

  • Philosophy of Mind
  • Biomedical Ethics
  • Logic

My interest in Philosophy started when I became obsessed with answering certain questions about reality, and the human condition.  Philosophy taught me that even though certain answers me never be provable, some arguments are definitely better than others, and trained me in how to see the differences.  From this perspective I have come to see philosophy and logic as training in understanding arguments of all types, and the things we learn when we study these disciplines help us in every aspect of our lives.  From deciding how one should vote, to deciding whom one should marry, Philosophy and Logic should equip their studiers with better understanding and decision making.  In this way Philosophy has changed my life, and I hope it does the same to all my students.
