About Us

Important: Parking permits are required for all vehicles Monday through Friday from 7a.m. to 4p.m. in order to park on the grounds of Millersville University. Parking Regulations are in effect at Millersville University around the clock all year. Please review campus parking regulations and Pennsylvania state parking regulations. It is your responsibility to do so.

 

FACULTY / STAFF PARKING PERMITS:

Facutly / staff permits have expired as of May 31st, 2017.  Please fill out the online Faculty/Staff permit renewal form located in the parking tab on the left side of this page.   Once completed, please stop by the University Police station (Lebanon house) with your MU ID card to pick up your new permit.  Any questions feel free to call our office at 717-871-5964.

STUDENT PARKING REGISTRATION FOR 2017/2018

All registered students must apply for a parking permit if they wish to park on campus.   Permits can be purchased through your student account.  Log in through My Ville, click on MAX, then Student Services, at the bottom of the Students Services is the parking request portal. 

Permits for this upcoming academic year will go on sale at the end of July 2017.

Commuter permits

            Full year            $100

            Per semester       $68

Residents (dorm students)

            Full year             $110

Restricted permits (Residents or commuter students wishing to parking in the parking garage on Prince Street / Cottage avenue ONLY)         

            Full year             $85 

Parking permit stickers:

We have converted to using parking stickers in place of parking hang tags.   Parking stickers must be placed on the rear window on the outside of your vehicle.   Once applied, please do not attempt to remove or the permit will become invalid.  You will receive one parking sticker permit per registration.   If you need to drive an alternate vehicle to campus you can obtain a day pass by stopping by the parking office in the Lebanon house. 

An additional permit can be purchased for a secondary vehicle for an addtional $15.   You must drive this secondary vehicle to campus and provide the vehicle registration at time of purchase.  You cannot register another student or friends vehicle, must be a family vehicle where we can verify ownership.  If you require more information, call our office at 717-871-5964 or stop by our office.


Open parking on Millersville Campus – no permit required:

You are permitted to park on Millersville Campus without displaying a parking permit after 4p.m. Monday through Friday.   Parking permits are only required to be displayed during weekdays (Monday through Friday) from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.   During these times you must have a valid MU parking permit to park on campus.    Weekend hours are also open on our campus.  Weekend hours are from 4:00 p.m. Friday and ends 7:00 a.m. the following Monday.   

PLEASE ALLOW 24 HOURS FOR PROCESSING PRIOR TO ATTEMPTING TO PICK UP YOUR PARKING PERMIT AT THE PARKING OFFICE (LEBANON HOUSE).   IF YOU APPLIED DURING THE WEEKEND (SAT. OR SUN.) PLEASE ALLOW AN EXTRA DAY.  PLEASE HAVE YOUR MILLERSVILLE ID CARD WITH YOU WHEN YOU PICK UP YOUR PARKING PERMIT.

E-CHECK PAYMENTS TAKE UP TO 3 DAYS TO PROCESS THROUGH OUR PERMIT PORTAL.  PLEASE BE PATIENT.

If your student status changes from a commuter student to a resident (dorm) student (or vice versa), you must make sure the registration office has your correct information/status.  If they do not have this correct information you may not see the correct permits available to purchase.

Grace period:

First week of classes is always considered a grace period for displaying a valid parking permit.  During this time you may park on campus without a displaying a valid parking permit.  All other parking violations still apply.  Grace period for the Fall 2017 semester is August 28th -September 1st, 2017.  For the Spring semester 2018 the grace period is January 22nd  - January 26th, 2018.   For the summer semester 2017 the grace period is May 14th - May 18th, 2018. 

Week of finals is also considered a grace period.   Finals week for Fall 2017 is December 11th - December 15th, 2017.  Finals week for Spring 2018 is May 7th - May 12th, 2018.  No permits required to park on campus during this time.

PARKING OFFICE DOES NOT ACCEPT CREDIT/DEBIT CARDS OR CASH TO PAY FOR PARKING PERMITS OR PARKING TICKETS, YOU MUST USE THE ONLINE PERMIT OR TICKET PAYMENT PORTAL IF YOU WANT TO USE A CREDIT/DEBIT CARD.  YOU CAN PAY YOUR TICKET(S)S WITH A CHECK OR MONEY ORDER OR YOUR MARAUDER CARD (STUDENT ID) IN OUR PARKING OFFICE.  MAKE CHECKS OR MONEY ORDER PAYABLE TO MILLERSVILLE UNIVERSITY.

Parking ticket payments can also be made online through our Parking Ticket Payment Portal.  Please have your ticket number(s) and vehicle license plate number available before you attempt to pay any parking tickets online.
