Beyond Boundaries was designed to answer a central question, "What distinguishes Millersville University?" Millersville University internal and external stakeholders participated in a comprehensive strategic planning process that yeilded a concise strategic plan comprised of four strategic directions supported by three primary goals.

Last week I had the honor of testifying at the Pennsylvania State Capitol in Harrisburg before the Pennsylvania Senate Appropriations Committee. I joined fellow presidents from West Chester University, Indiana University, and East Stroudsburg University to discuss the impact of PASSHE universities on students, communities, and the workforce across Pennsylvania. At Millersville University of Pennsylvania, we focus on preparing students for meaningful careers while expanding opportunity and strengthening our communities. It was a privilege to welcome the Kenya Ambassador to the United States, HE David Kerich, to Millersville University this week, along with his wife and members of his diplomatic team. We had a productive and forward-looking conversation about building partnerships between Millersville and Kenyan universities—particularly in Nursing, STEM, student exchange, and workforce development. As institutions of higher education, we have a shared responsibility to prepare graduates who can lead across borders and address global challenges. I am especially looking forward to serving as keynote speaker at the upcoming Nursing Conference at Kabarak University in Kenya, where we will continue advancing collaboration in healthcare education and innovation.
