Athletics

Sports Information interns and student workers assist the Director of Athletic Communications by writing sports news releases, recording stats via statcrew, disseminating stats and reporting post-game results to the media.

Communications and PR

Interns and student employees assist professional staff with writing news releases, brief news stories and articles for newsletters, conducting research, scheduling interviews and much more.

Graphic Design Print

Work with the Director of Web and Creative Services and Graphic Designers to develop graphic projects—from concept to completion. These projects include printed publications, marketing collateral and advertising design.

Job Description for Graphic Design 

Photography

Photographer: Work with the entire University Marketing and Communications team shooting photos for news publications, graphic design projects and sports events. 

Photo Archivist: As a photo archivist, students work with the University Marketing and Communications team to organize and retrieve photographs from our internal database for the creation of marketing materials. 

Scheduler: The photo scheduler organizes and schedules photo shoots and manages a group of student photographers.

Social Media

Works to help engage, motivate, inspire, and inform the students of MU over social media platforms. We are looking for someone who can’t get away from their phones and lives on the internet. Someone who is able to put their lives in 140 characters and still has room for more. A person who is involved and is looking to help get the message out to the students about everything MU.

Video Production

The video production assistant serves as a creative and dynamic part of the Marketing and Communications team. Students in this position regularly produce a variety of video productions including marketing pieces, interviews, social media advertisements, and animations.

Web and Interactive Design

Supports the work of the Assistant Director of Web and Digital Media in the creation and maintenance of the University's website and digital communications. This includes creating pages on and updating the University website. Designing advertisements for social media, and working to uphold the brand standards of the University.

Millersville University of Pennsylvania will host three Open Houses this fall for high school students who want to learn more about attending the University.
