MDST in Sport Journalism


     The MDST concentration in Sport Journalism trains students to write, report and develop multimedia sport packages while giving them an understanding of the role of sports journalism in society. Building sports communities through print, digital and social media will be emphasized through experimental learning opportunities. Students will learn the methods and techniques for communicating about sports in a variety of formats, media and contexts.

MDST in Sport Business


     The Multidisciplinary Bachelors of Arts in Sport Business provides students a strong foundation for entrance into a sport-related business. The sport studies core provides the knowledge and skills necessary to interact with or work within sport industries including agencies, organizations, schools, and other institutions. The business core provides the knowledge necessary to interact with various business departments in sport organizations and the skills needed to perform essential tasks within them.

Athletic Training Dual Degree with West Chester University


     The program is called the Dual Degree Program, and you will receive a bachelor's degree from Millersville and another bachelor's degree in Athletic Training from West Chester, both at the same time. Millersville offers two choices in your course of study. A degree in Biology or a new option in Allied Health Technologies. You will learn all your hands-on skills under the guidance of our MU Certified Athletic Trainers working directly with the men's and women's Marauder athletic teams, or a local high school or college.


Athletic Coaching Minor


     The Department of Wellness and Sport Sciences offers a minor inn athletic coaching for those wishing to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to safely coach athletes. Students are eligible to receive certification in the American Sports Education Program.
