The English Department publishes George Street Carnival, a literary magazine. Students, faculty, and staff are invited to contribute original works of literature or art to the George Street Carnival. Students can work on the magazine's staff.

The English Department offers an intellectual community where students interact with professors and peers in publishing endeavors, in informal club settings, and during special events. Students are encouraged to participate in a variety of activities to expand both their intellectual horizons and their social circles.
