About the Exhibition ...

Record Keeping is a group exhibition between artists Eliza Landis, Andi Holton, Bonnie McEachren, Parker Galen, and Bee Grissinger.  Through modular elements and materials extended beyond the field of discard, the exhibition considers themes of nostalgia, the uncanny, and the act of collecting.  Subtle connections in color, texture, and material puts the work in a vibrant state of becoming-notwithstanding a fixed category or narrative.  Tactical assemblage pulled from diaries, memory, and waste evokes a sense of past and future.  Collectively, the works reflect the enduring resonance of objects in our lives.

About the Artists ...

Eliza Landis is a Lancaster based artist and has been metalsmithing since 2021.  With a BA in Design, the artist has applied her understanding of the principles of design to her work.  Focusing on female empowerment and the divine feminine, Eliza explores the correlations between oppression and imposter syndrome.  With an aim to break psychlogical bonds through artistic expression, the artist presents the viewer with the challenges of adjusting perceptions and deconstructing internalized oppression.

Andi Holton was born in Hannibal, Missouri.  They are a relief printmaker and a recent Millersville University graduate.  They explore surrealist imagery inspired by childhood dreams and memories.  Using playful color palettes and bold mark-making, they create nostalgic narratives.  Andi creates fatastical environmentals that are familar yet distorted.

Bonnie McEachren is a multidisciplinary artist from Greenville, South Carolina.  She holds a BFA in ceramics from the Kansas City Art Institute and has pursued post-baccalaureate studies at the Pennsylvania State University ceramics department.  She has exhibited nationally and internationally, most recently at the Apple House Gallery in Skaelskor, Denmark.  Her work considers the overlooked language and cultural value of cuteness, reinterpreting vernacular symbols like hearts and bows to convey hope, despair, rage.

Parker Galen is a sculptor based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and a graduate of Pennsylvania College of Art and Design with a Bachelor of Fine Arts.  He works primarily with recycled and found objects and has a love for the repetition of form and abstraction of materials.  Parker's inspirations include his part-time job at a grocery store, themes consumerism, waste, and addiction.

Bee Grissinger is a nonbinary artist from Lancaster, Pennsylvania.  They are a recent graduate of Pennsylvania College of Art and Design with a bachelor's in fine art.  They are hoping to attend graduate school in the future with a focus in printmaking and teaching.  This past summer they were also a FOB holder resident for Second State Press in Philadelphia.  Their work has been featured in Lancaster, York, Philadelphia and Maryland galleries.  Their work focses on childhood memories and lived experiences, with screen printing and collage as the main mediums
