Faculty Opportunities
Faculty Fellows & Associates Program
The Center for Public Scholarship invites members of the University community and interested persons outside the University to participate in the activities of CCERP as an Associate or Fellow.
Faculty Research Associate
A Millersville University faculty or staff member; junior, senior or graduate level student; community member; or visitor who either:
- commits to chairing a CCERP committee or significant project for a minimum of one academic year;
- has given at least one year of substantial service to a research project;
- has engaged in activities or research for at least two years related to the core mission
- and priorities of CCERP as determined by the Executive Director or the Program Council; or
- is nominated for such status by the CCERP leadership staff for a designated period of time with the concurrence of the Program Council.
Faculty Research Fellow
A Millersville University faculty or staff member, community member, visiting scholar, or CCERP Associate who either:
- is selected to participate in CCERP funded projects or research, qualifying for a ¼ or more teaching load reduction or its equivalent during the length of their active participation in the project subject to the determination of the Executive Director or the Program Council;
- has secured funding to cover the costs, including reduced time and overhead of a major project in association with CCERP subject to the approval of the Executive Director or the Program Council; or
- is nominated for such status by the CCERP leadership staff for a designated period of time with the concurrence of the Program Council.
Research Projects
The Center for Public Scholarship invites faculty to participate in ongoing and future research projects. Anyone interested in becoming involved in a project should contact Dr. Kerrie Farkas, Director of the Center for Public Scholarship.
