Governance and Policies: General Education Program
The purpose, characteristics, and objectives of the general education program are outlined in the Governance and Policies document under General Education Program. Faculty that are considering developing new general education courses may wish to consult the governance and policies document to better understand the general education program and specific objectives for courses that carry a general education label.
Governance and Policies: General Education Review Committee (GERC)
The General Education Review Committee (GERC) is a standing committee of the faculty senate charged with 1) promoting the undestanding of the general education program, and 2) reviewing, evaluating, and recommending changes to the general education curriculum. The membeship and function of GERC is outlined in the Governance and Policies document.
