ELCM's Volunteer Networking Event will be held on February 17, 2016 in the SMC, Atruim from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Paticipating organizations are AseraCare Hospice, The Lancaster Science Factory, Milagros House, The United Way of Lancaster County, Willow Valley Retirement Communities and many other organizations.
AmeriCorps is a federal program designed to fight poverty in America. Volunteer Central is a 2015-2016 host site for the AmeriCorps VISTA Project Cygnet to build and strengthen partnerships between the University, the School District of Lancaster, and community organizations that host after-school programs. Millersville University students mentor, tutor and coach children in after-school programs to support Project Cygnet's mission to alleviate poverty by increasing children’s academic achievement.
