NOTE FOR EDUCATION RESEARCHERS:Due to the volume of Millersville education students undertaking research in local public schools, principles and school district administrators require the MU IRB provide a full review of all protocols invoilving public school students. Furthermore, all protocols for school-based research requires a letter of support from the school prinipal or relevant adminstrator. This letter must accompany the protocol and must be printed on school letterhead.

Request for IRB Protocol Number for Pending Research For researchers (faculty, staff, or students) who are planning to make application for grant funding from Millersville University or from outside agencies or foundations where an IRB Protocol Number is required. The researcher, if awarded the grant funding, will need to follow-up with a full Human Subjects Review Protocol, approved by the IRB, before implementing the research project.

Human Subjects Review Protocol - Submission Form
The Human Subjects Review Protocol form for all researchers must be submitted and approved by the IRB before implementing the research project. Additional information regarding the requirements for Informed Consent can be found HERE. All documents must be submitted together as a single PDF. Request for Extension of Previously Approved Protocol
Previously approved protocols that require a time extension for completion of research must be reviewed by the IRB. Requests for extension should be made to the IRB six weeks prior to the protocol's expiration date.
