About the Exhibition ...

The exhibition emphasizes the wide range of mediums and styles in which the artists are currently engaged. From exploring body positivity, art crafted from nature, an exploration of interior and exterior spaces, and more. While each artist created with different questions and experiences in mind, the very fact that they are reacting to life, in the same place and at the same time, connects their work. Whether viewers come to explore responses created or to explore what the responses make them wonder, this varied collection allows originally distinct artworks to converse with one another in Inquiry.

About the Artist ...

Students in Millersville University’s Department of Art and Design capstone course, Beyond Making: Strategies for Success, are proud to present Inquiry, an exhibition of new works. The artworks in this exhibition were created in response to questions that each of the artists asked themselves. Humans are born curious by nature; we are constantly looking for answers and reasons why. The artworks in this exhibition reflect each artist’s individual question.

Presenting artists include Hannah Arnold, Ariel Berger, Emily Brown, Aiyana Colon, Veronica Cristellon, Elliot Cushey, Dakota Deibler, Connor Gautieri, Winter Hartley, Ashley Hess, Jamie Jackson, Ambrosius Lowery, S. McKinlay, Sean McLendon, Gabriella Messenger, Carlie Pearson, Morgan Scott, Zachariah Severn, Skye Terry, Cole Ussia, Mary Kay Witmer, and Niya Zurcher.
