General Information
Much of the social life on campus centers on the Student Memorial Center (SMC) located across from Gordinier Dining Hall on South George Street . The recently expanded/renovated facility has much to offer students and the entire Millersville University community.
The University Store is located in the north wing. Textbooks, Millersville University clothing, gift items and various sundries are available in the University Store. On the lower level, a Copy Shop provides copying services, lamination, laser printouts, FAX and binding services, picture restoration & UPS shipping.
The MU Galley, a spacious dining area, is located in the SMC and provides students, faculty, staff and visitors with an extensive menu. The Club de ‘Ville is located in the lower level and is equipped with billiard tables, an entertainment stage, a video projection system, TV's, and provides computers with wireless internet access. In addition, a new “Starbucks” coffee shop is available.
The business office of Student Services, Inc., and a student banking area are located in the Student Memorial Center . Students with a valid Millersville University I.D. may cash personal checks up to $50.00. Tickets for campus functions may also be obtained at the same location.
An automatic teller machine is located at the front of the Student Memorial Center and an extensive parking area is located at the rear of the building. The ATM offers 24-hour accessibility and will accept deposits to any bank that is a part of the Cirrus System.
The south wing contains the information/reception desk. Room reservations for the eight meeting rooms and the multipurpose room may be made there. Campus information, ticket information and various reading materials are available. The south wing also boasts a fitness center, four racquetball courts and an open recreation area.
Many student organizations have offices in the Student Memorial Center . Currently, the Black Student Union, International Relations Club, MU Allies, The Snapper (campus newspaper), SOLA, Student Senate, Touchstone (campus yearbook), University Activities Board and WIXQ (campus radio station), are located in the Student Memorial Center.
