A memorandum from NOAA Human Resources announces the following changes in policy effective October 1, 1997.

1. A national register of qualified applicants will no longer be maintained.
2. Individuals will have to apply separately for each job vacancy.
3. Vacancy lists will be updated weekly.
4. Official transcripts are no longer required--copies are fine.
