Bio
With more than 25 years of experience in gender-based violence advocacy, Casey values integrity, care, and equity in her work for social change. Drawing on her lived experience as a survivor of domestic violence in childhood, Casey served as a crisis counselor at a local anti-violence program in Pennsylvania. In her work at the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Domestic Violence and the National Resource Center on Domestic Violence, Casey nurtured various collaborations and capacity-building projects focused on prevention, awareness, resilience, and bridging research and practice.
A lifelong learner, Casey has a passion for cultivating online learning spaces. She led the development and growth of both VAWnet.org and PreventIPV.org, and is excited to be part of The Learning Community at BWJP. Casey is Licensed Social Worker who earned her Master’s in Social Work from Temple University and her BS in Speech Communication from Millersville University.
