Summer Fun Series

Join us this summer for a fun, family-friendly series on the Alumni House lawn! Each Thursday evening, Millersville University’s Office of Alumni Engagement will host a relaxed outdoor gathering featuring hands-on activities for children, engaging storytime, and space to play and connect. Yard games such as cornhole and ladder ball will be available throughout the evening.

Whether you’re an alumnus, a parent, or a member of the local community, we invite you to bring your family and enjoy time together on campus.

Time: 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Location: Alumni House Lawn, Millersville University

Schedule:

  • 6:00 – 6:30 p.m. – Activity led by a local nonprofit or campus partner

  • 6:30 – 7:00 p.m. – Storytime

What to Expect

Each week features a different community partner sharing a fun, interactive experience for children, followed by a storytime led by a guest reader. Families are encouraged to come early, stay for the full hour, and enjoy the lawn together.

This is a casual, drop-in event—no registration is required.

Marauder Kids Summer Passport

Children can participate in our Marauder Kids Summer Passport by collecting a stamp each week they attend.

  • Attend multiple events to collect stamps

  • Receive a small prize for participation in 4+ nights

  • Attend all eight (8) events to earn a special “Summer Marauder” prize at the final event on July 30

Finale Night – July 30

Join us for a special end-of-summer celebration! Our final evening will feature additional activities, prizes, and a festive atmosphere as we wrap up the series together.

Inclement Weather Policy

The Summer Fun Series is held outdoors. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be canceled.

Participants will be notified by email no later than 12:00 p.m. the day before, and updates will be shared on our social media channels.

Inclement weather is defined as:

  • Sustained winds of 20 mph or greater, or

  • Forecasted precipitation of 0.5 inches or more, as determined by the Millersville University Weather Center’s 7-Day Forecast
