About the Task Force
The AOD Task Force meets monthly on campus and consists of students, faculty, staff, and community leaders.
Vision Statement: Members of the Millersville University campus community have the knowledge, skills and resources to make healthy and responsible choices about alcohol and other drugs.
Mission Statement: The Alcohol and Other Drug Steering Committee of Millersville University will provide a framework for a comprehensive approach to alcohol and other drug abuse prevention and response that contributes to student success and the health and safety of our community.
We seek to engage the campus community in awareness of AOD issues, recommend treatment resources and services, support students in recovery, develop and recommend policy, and educate faculty, staff, and students.
Goals of AOD Task Force:
Goal 1: Develop clear student-centered AOD policies.
Goal 2: Recommend evidence-based intervention, treatment, and services for ongoing treatment.
Goal 3: Establish a progressive AOD knowledge and prevention education model.
Goal 4: Assess ongoing AOD efforts; task force membership; and AOD initiatives moving forward.
