Notes:

  • The art education degree requires 129 credits. This four-year pathway only amounts to 117 total credits. To graduate in four years, students must earn an additional 15 credits by: 1) taking winter or summer classes 2) enrolling in more than 15 credits per semester
  • Formal admission to the teacher education program at the end of the third year, students need to have: a GPA of at least 3.0. Students with a 2.8-2.99 GPA need to pass a Basic Skills Assessment to proceed updated clearances on file a complete student teaching application (submit one year prior to student teaching) six credits of mathematics courses three credits from an English Literature course a certificate of completion from the ACT 126 Educator Ethics Training
  • General Education Courses that are needed but do not fit in this course sequence: • Gateway Keystone Advanced Writing Course (AW) • Gateway Keystone Diverse Cultural Contexts Course (DCCC) • Two GE Gateway Courses (labels needed depend on choices students made throughout the course sequence)
