J. Whitlow (he/him)

J. Whitlow is the inaugural director of the Dr. Rita Smith Wade-El Intercultural Center. They joined the Millersville community in July of 2016. They hold a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Kentucky, and an M.S.Ed. in College Student Personnel from the University of Dayton. Their mission is to create a more inclusive community and student environment, in addition to creating programs and initiatives that center around sense of belonging and identity development of historically marginalized populations on campus. Whitlow’s passion for social justice comes from their lived experience as a queer person of color. They strive daily to create spaces where individuals can live their truth. 

Fun Fact: Whitlow has a fear of large bodies of water and loves sweet tea!
