Millersville University, the Hazeltine family, and Johnson & Johnson Healthcare Products Co., a division of McNeil-PPC, Inc. sponsor the Annual Glenna Hazeltine Women in Mathematics and Science Conference. The purpose of the conference is to encourage young women in science and mathematics by giving them opportunities to meet with a variety of professional women role models who have successfully pursued scientific and mathematically-oriented careers.
Millersville University invites middle schools, junior high schools, and senior high schools in Lancaster County and surrounding counties to select four female students and one teacher or advisor to attend this conference. The selection process is coordinated through the guidance counselor in conjunction with science and math teachers at each school.
