Dr. Kemah Washington '03

Dr. Kemah Washington joined the board in 2019 and serves as the board's president. He earned a bachelor’s degree in public relations from Millersville University in 2003. While at Millersville, he was a student in the University Honors College, a peer mentor and member of the Lambda Tau Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. He later earned a master’s degree in higher education from North Carolina State University before obtaining a doctorate from the same institution.

Washington is the founder and president of BRANDilly Creative Group, where he helps clients build compelling brands that connect, communicate and evolve. In 2011, Washington and his family moved to Ghana to help start a high school at the Baptist School Complex & Orphanage. He continues that work today, volunteering with several faith- and missions-based organizations.

When not working, Washington loves golfing, fishing, and spending time outdoors with his wife, Brandi, and his daughters, Kennedi and Parker. Washington has supported various scholarships and initiatives at Millersville, including establishing the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. (Lambda Tau Chapter) Memorial Scholarship.
