Dr. Mary Glazier

Dr. Mary Glazier is Professor Emerita of sociology at Millersville University. She taught in the Criminology, Sociology and Anthropology Department and was the department chair when she retired in 2020. She was also the director of the Center for Public Scholarship and Social Change.
Glazier received her undergraduate degree in sociology from Albertus Magnus College. She then received her master's and doctoral degrees from the University of Pennsylvania. Her research has focused on delinquency, violence reduction and community organization.
Glazier enjoys the outdoors, cycling and horseback riding. She is a supporter of Ambassadors for Hope, a community benefit organization focused on meeting the needs of children with incarcerated parents and the Ambassadors for Hope Scholarship benefitting Millersville students with incarcerated parents. She is a member of the Gilded Feather and Ville Visionary Societies. She lives in Conestoga with her husband and dog.
