Dr. Miriam Witmer '83, '92M
College of Education and Human Services
Dr. Miriam Witmer represents the College of Education and Human Services. She is an assistant professor of educational foundations and coordinates the Color of Teaching program at Millersville. She began teaching at Millersville in 1999.
Witmer is also a graduate of Millersville. She obtained a bachelor's degree in English and communications in secondary education in 1983, followed by a master’s degree in clinical psychology. In 2014, she received a doctorate in education from Temple University.
Witmer published many works including, Expressions of Authentic Voice. She was awarded the Women Empowerment award by the Minority Business Network in 2023. Witmer has long been a supporter of the College of Education and Human Services.
