KEVIN B. MAHONEY ‘81 and PAMELA J. MAHONEY ‘82 

After an unsuccessful start at the University, Kevin returned to complete his degree in economics. He credits his wife with “teaching him to stay focused and encouraging him to pursue his MBA and doctoral degrees at Temple University.”

Pamela Mahoney earned a degree in special education from Millersville in 1982, then taught at TheKevin and Pamela Mahoney Woods School, Phelps School and the Overbrook School for the Blind.

Kevin Mahoney is the chief executive officer of the University of Pennsylvania Health System, an organization with $13 billion in annual revenues and 55,000 employees with locations across Pennsylvania, proudly including Lancaster General Health, Delaware and New Jersey. He has been with Penn Medicine since 1996.

Kevin Mahoney has served his community through a number of volunteer positions with the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, Committee of 70, Philadelphia Works and University City Science Center. He served as an elected member of the Tredyffrin-Easttown School District School Board for 10 years.

Kevin and Pamela Mahoney have remained engaged with their alma mater, serving as 1855 Society Members and as members of the President’s Council.

In 2020, honoring their time at Millersville, Kevin and Pam Mahoney established the Pamela Kane Mahoney '82 Special Education Scholarship to support a special education major with a demonstrated interest in elementary schools. Kevin Mahoney earned the University’s Distinguished Alumni Award in 2021.

Residents of Malvern, Pennsylvania, the Mahoneys have three children and three wonderful grandchildren!
