Senator Scott F. Martin ‘02 and Dr. Amber L. Martin

Scott and Amber Martin, Ph.D., share a long-standing commitment to public service in Lancaster County,Senator Scott Martin serving residents through elected office and a wide range of professional and community roles.

Amber Martin currently serves as Lancaster County Treasurer. Her public service includes prior roles as a Penn Manor School Board director and ManorTownship supervisor, as well as experience as a public-school teacher. In addition, she is a local business owner whose company develops and manages homeowner and condominium associations throughout Central Pennsylvania. Her leadership in business and mentoring has been recognized by the Central Penn Business Journal with Women of Influence and 40 Under 40 awards, and by Susquehanna Style Magazine as part of a Top Female Team.

A lifelong Lancaster County resident, Scott Martin was elected to representDr. Amber L. Martin Pennsylvania's 13th Senatorial District in November 2016 and was re-elected in 2020 and 2024. He currently serves as chair of the Senate Appropriations Committee and previously cha ired both the Senate Education Committee and the Senate Local Government Committee.

Earlier in his career, he served as a Lancaster County commissioner.

Scott Martin is a 2002 graduate of Millersville University, earning a degree in sociology/criminaljustice. As a student-athlete, he was a three-time First Team Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference defensive tackle and a two-time All-American. He was inducted into the Millersville University Athletic Hall of Fame and was recently named one of the 150 greatest players and contributors in PSAC history.

Beyond his legislative duties, Scott Martin serves as chairman of the Pennsylvania Athletic Oversight Committee and as a member of the Chesapeake Bay Commission, where he was elected chair in 2023.
