EXPORT CONTROL
Export Controls are federal laws that govern how technology, data, items, or materials are physically or electronically exported or shared from the U.S. to foreign countries, persons, or entities. These laws protect national security and U.S. foreign policy interests. Millersville University operates pursuant to the PASSHE Export Control Policy in order to ensure compliance with federal requirments and the protection of MU facutly and student intellectual property and personal information.
What may be subject to Export Control:
- On-campus research with foreign nationals
- International travel
- International shipping
- Hosting foreign visitors
- Procurement
- Information technology
- Working with restricted or sanctioned entities
