Beyond the Console:
Live Audio & Recording Workshops

Sunday, June 14 through Saturday, June 20

Beyond the Console is an immersive, experiential workshop designed to give students a real look at how modern music production comes to life on stage and in the studio. Students will choose one of two pathways—the Studio Recording Experience or the Live Audio & Lighting Experience—and spend the week learning how professionals build sounds, collaborate as a crew, and solve problems quickly to make moments happen.

These workshops are designed for attendees who are 16 to 18 years old, to gain hands-on experience in professional environments under the guidance of experienced professionals. Whether you’re curious about what happens in a recording session or what it takes to run sound and lights for a live show, you’ll leave with new skills, confidence, and a clearer picture of the many paths into the recording, entertainment and live event industries.

When and Where is the program held?

Sunday, June 14 through Saturday, June 20. Participants will sleep in the dorms and eat on campus in dining facilities.

The workshops will be held within the Winter Visual and Performing Arts Center and Dutcher Hall. There will also be a field trip to Rock Lititz, the one-of-a-kind collaborative production campus located in Lititz, PA.
