General Information

Millersville University Athletic Trainers strive to provide varsity student-athletes with the highest quality holistic health care possible. The athletic trainers aim to utilize evidence-based practice to provide each student-athlete with an individualized health care experience, specifically developed for each student-athlete's needs and beliefs. This health care experience is delivered throughthoughtful implementation of injury prevention programs and education, timely evaluation of injuries and illnesses, dedicated rehabilitation, prompt and proper identification of referrals to appropriate medical providers when necessary, and detailed medical documentation. 

 

Please note that the faculty athletic trainers' scope of practice is limited to student-athletes who are rostered on a varsity NCAA team; all other students should contact University Health Services for any injury or illness needs. 

 

Millersville University is a NCAA Division II school which competes in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) We are located in beautiful Lancaster County right outside the city of Lancaster.

A staff of physicians, certified athletic trainers, graduate assistants, and a number of athletic training students provide medical coverage for over 400 athletes participating in 19 intercollegiate sports at Millersville University.

The athletic training staff primarily focuses on the prevention, assessment, management, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries. 

Millersville has two fully functional athletic training clinics. These include some of the most up to date equipment. The athletic training room is open for business in the mornings and afternoons for practice coverage. The morning hours allow athletes time with the staff for initial evaluation or to make adjustments to their treatment protocol.
