Prospective Students
What is the Honors College?
Welcome to the Prospective Students section of the MUHC website! Here you will find information about the College, and the selection process for both incoming first-year students and currently enrolled or transfer students.
- In 2024, 119 new students were enrolled in the Honors College.
- The current total student enrollment in the Honors College is around 340 students.
- We find that many of the students enrolled in the Honors College are looking for a program that encourages independent thought and research in a smaller academic environment. That's why we strive to keep classes at or under 25 students.
The University Honors College is specially designed to provide a challenging and enriching education for talented and motivated students. Students who have been accepted into the Honors College are encouraged to raise their academic and professional sights beyond what they have imagined. The Honors College provides academic guidance and preparation, which will prepare students to prosper in graduate/professional schools or in the business world.

Honors College Testimonial
Brenna Zarkovich, '25 graduated from MU and the Honors College with a degree in Accounting. Here is a snippet of her time and experiences.
"My time with the Honors College at Millersville has been nothing short of amazing! I've been challenged in the pursuit of completing my thesis, but I am so grateful for that research experience. Writing my thesis has been so rewarding, and it has afforded me many opportunities from growing closer to faculty members to exploring my interests on a deeper level. Not only has the Honors College challenged me academically, but it has also challenged me on a personal level. Completing the community service hour requirements has allowed me to be more intentional about the way I spend my time, giving me a greater desire to serve others. I plan to use my accounting degree at Armstrong World Industries working in their Finance Professional Development Program. I believe that the Honors College has set me apart from others, making the post-graduation job search a lot less daunting."
