The Finance program at Millersville University prepares students for challenging and rewarding careers in corporate finance, banking, wealth management, public finance, consulting and more. The curriculum includes courses in investments, corporate and international finance, financial markets, real estate, insurance, spreadsheets modeling and more.

A finance degree can open the door to a wide range careers and industries, as every type of organization faces financial decisions and must develop financial strategies. As a finance major you will develop the critical analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills for jobs in industry, with not-for-profit and public-sector organizations.

What Will You Learn?

Core curriculum courses cover a wide range of Business Administration topics including financial and managerial accounting, principles of management and marketing, informational systems, legal repercussions and more. The Finance concentration will lead you to a deeper understanding of managerial finance, investments, financial modeling and analysis, banking, real estate, and insurance. While in school students are encouraged to sit for a variety of professional licensing exams including the Series 6, 7, 63, and 66 exams. Upon graduation, students can pursue CFP and CFA professional certifications. Students have the opportunity to gain hands-on investment experience managing part of the University's endowment fund through the Marauder Fund.
