Why Study This Program?

Enter the podiatry profession, a medical field focused on foot care, through Millersville University's Pre-Podiatry program. The Podiatry program is a cooperative option between MU and the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. After satisfactorily completing three years at MU, students transfer to the professional school for their final year of undergraduate school and first year of study in a doctoral program.

Students who successfully complete three years of study at Millersville and their first year of professional training at Temple receive a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biology degree with an option in Pre-Podiatry from Millersville University. If you wish to continue your education, three additional years at the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine would lead to a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree.

What Will You Learn?

Pre-Podiatry students follow a broad, interdisciplinary approach to general biology studies, before focusing more intensely with experiential training at Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. You will build a foundation of knowledge in chemistry, physics and psychology at MU before moving on to the clinical aspect of this program.
