Board Buddies Program

Starting your first term on the Alumni Association Board is exciting—but it can also come with a lot to learn. That’s where our Board Buddies Program comes in.

Each new Board member is paired with a returning member who serves as their “Board Buddy” throughout their first year. The goal is simple: to help new members feel welcome, informed, and confident as they step into their role.

Board Buddies offer:

  • Guidance on Board policies, procedures, and expectations.

  • Mentorship drawn from their own experiences on the Board.

  • Connection to other members, committees, and resources.

  • Support in navigating meetings, events, and Board responsibilities.

By fostering these one-on-one relationships, the Board Buddies Program strengthens our community, encourages collaboration, and ensures every member has the tools they need to succeed and contribute from day one.

Whether you’re a first-time member eager to learn, or a returning member looking to share your knowledge, Board Buddies is all about building relationships that help our Board—and our Alumni Association—thrive.
