2026 Holiday Keepsake: A Tradition of Remembrance

Each December, the Millersville University Alumni Office partners with Wreaths Across America and Millersville University’s Army ROTC program to pause, reflect, and honor those who have served.

2026 Holiday Keepsake The inspiration for our 2026 holiday keepsake comes directly from this solemn ceremony and the image of our ROTC cadets standing watch at the monument. Their presence represents continuity across generations: today’s students honoring those who came before them, united by service, sacrifice, and a shared commitment to something greater than themselves.

The 2026 keepsake was designed to reflect this legacy. Featuring the Soldiers’ Monument framed by American flags, a wreath of remembrance, and ROTC cadets in salute, the ornament captures a moment of reflection that takes place every December on our campus. The year 2026 is intentionally included as we approach America250, reminding us that remembrance is not only about looking back, but about carrying forward the values of service, citizenship, and community.

The Alumni Office and Millersville University’s ROTC Cadets invite you to join us for our annual wreath laying ceremony on Sunday, December 13, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at the Civil War Monument. The program lasts approximately 20 minutes, includes warm refreshments, and all are welcome to attend.

  • Can I receive more than one ornament?

    Each gift of $25 or more includes one ornament as a thank-you. If you’d like multiple ornaments, please make separate $25+ gifts.

    Yes. Your contribution is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. A receipt is automatically emailed when the gift is made.

  • Can ornaments be shipped?

    Yes. Ornaments can be shipped for $4.95 each within the U.S. You’ll have the option to select shipping when you make your gift online or by phone.

  • Where can I pick up my ornament in person?

    Ornaments will be available at the Alumni Office and at special events like the Homecoming Maker’s Market (Oct. 4) and the Glorious Holidays Maker’s Market (Dec. 6).

    This year’s ornament is limited to 1,000 pieces. Once they’re gone, they’re gone! We recommend making your gift early to ensure you receive one.
