Students often have questions regarding the Counseling Center's services and specific topics that apply to their particular situation. Below you will find frequently asked questions (FAQ's) by Millersville students. When is the Counseling Center open?-

Session information
How many sessions am I able to have?For every active Millersville student (part-time or full-time), you can recieve up to 5 free sessions per semester. As long as you are regerstered for the upcoming semester, you could recieve sessions during winter and/or summer break. -
Psychiatry information
Do you offer Psychiatry visits?Yes, we do. Our Psychatrist, Dr. Biuckians, has one to two sessions per month on Wednesdays. In order to recieve a visit with the Psychatrist, you must meet at least once with one of our counselors to be reffered to the wait list.
Psychiatric services at the Counseling Center include evaluations and short-term medication management. If you have an existing prescription, we encourage you to continue working with your current provider. Learn more about our Psychiatric Services policy.

Additional Resources
Where can I find additional counseling resources?Generally we offer individual and group counseling sessions, pet therapy, and light box therapy. You can find additional student support resources about anxiety, depression, academic stress, mindfullness, self-compassion and more on our Sharepoint.
