Fall Into Wellness Fair

When: Wednesday, September 27 from 11am-2pm

Where: SMC Promenade (rain location, inside SMC)

What: The Fall Into Wellness Fair is an event to educate the campus community about various topics relating to the different dimensions of wellness by providing resources and education through interactive activities. Tables are hosted by a variety of on-campus and off-campus organizations. Tables provide resources and educational information through interactive activities and games. In addition to promoting wellness, groups are also encouraged to promote any of their events, resources, and/or programing they have going on. We invite you or someone from your organization to participate by hosting a table. Each table at the Wellness Fair will provide information on a topic that relates to one (or more) dimension(s) of wellness such as emotional wellness, physical wellness, environmental wellness, spiritual wellness, financial wellness, occupational wellness, intellectual wellness, social wellness, and multicultural wellness.

Homecoming Pre-Party

When: Thursday, October 12 from 11am-2pm 

Where: SMC Promenade (rain location, inside SMC)

What: The Homecoming Pre-Party is an interactive resource fair to educate students about alcohol and other drugs prevention and risk reduction strategies. The event will be tailgate themed with yard games set up for students. We are also hoping to have a Rx Take Back at the event. Our goal is to educate students on how to have a Homecoming they can remember and provide them with education/resources so they can make smart decisions throughout the weekend festivities.

Date: Thursday, October 19 

Time: 4-7pm 

Location: McComsey Ford Atrium

Details: Pizza, snacks and drinks will be provided. FREE t-shirt for completing the training. Facilitators are Dr. Fredrika Schmitt and Margo Thorwart. The goal of Green Dot is to implement a bystander intervention strategy that prevents and reduces power-based personal violence. Power-based violence includes: sexual violence, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking. A Green Dot is a behavior, choice, or action that promotes safety for everyone on campus.

Date: Monday, October 23

Time: 9-10am

Location: SMC 118

Details: *Coffee will be provided. FREE coffee travel mug for completing the training. Purple Carnival

When: Thursday, October 26 from 11am-1pm

Where: SMC Atrium

What: The Purple Carnival is an interactive resource fair to educate the campus community about healthy relationships. October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and with domestic violence comes several other topics that we would like to bring attention to like consent education, toxic masculinity, rape culture, warning signs, dating violence, stalking, etc. All tables should plan to have a carnival game as part of their activity and education. If you do not have a carnival game, CHEP can provide you with one.

Mental Health Matters

When: Tuesday, November 14 from 4-5pm (geared toward graduate students)

& Thursday, November 16 from 11am-1pm (geared toward undergraduate students)

Where: SMC Atrium

What: Helping students prioritize mental health and destress/unwind going into the last couple weeks of the semester.
