Fall Classes - When will Fall 2025 grades be available?
Back to topGrades should be available via MAX after 4:30pm on Friday, December 19th. Unofficial grades may be present on your degree audit beginning on the December, 17th.

Back to topIf your grades are not accessible, verify via MAX that you do not have any holds on your account. Holds can restrict access to viewing grades.

Fall Classes - Who do I contact if I have a hold on my account?
Back to topYou can contact the Office of Student Accounts, if you owe money to the university. Other offices can place holds on your account such as Housing, Dining, or Athletics. Contact respective offices as needed.

Back to topFirst, contact your professor via email and phone. If no response is received after several days, reach out to the department offering the course. Please note that some faculty are unavailable during the summer break.

Fall Classes - I earned less than a C-minus in ENGL 110 or COMM 100. What do I do?
Back to topSince both courses require a C-or higher grade, it is often advisable that you repeat the course in the following semester. Access your MAX account to review options for retaking the course. If you need to retake more than one course, it is advisable that you consult with the Office of Financial Aid first.

Fall Classes - Do I have to repeat my F grade(s)?
Back to topIn most instances, repeating an F grade the very next semester is the wisest option. Repeating a course and getting a higher grade can boost your overall GPA. Additionally, some classes in some majors will require you to repeat a course that serves as the prerequisite for the next course in the sequence. Consult with your academic advisor on the best course of action.

Before starting however, review the requirements for declaring the major to make sure you meet their entrance requirements or if there are any additional steps required.

Back to topIf you are an entering first-time student (freshman), the Office of the Registrar builds your first schedule. If you are a transfer student, work with your academic advisor to build your spring schedule.

Incoming Students - How do I know who my advisor is?
Back to topLog in to your MAX account. Go to Degree Audit Report (DAR). Your advisor’s name and email will be at the top right-hand corner or via MAX, under Advisement. Select Advisor link. For transfer students, The Office of Admissions has a transfer advisement contact list. Click the link to view the contact list. The Office of Admissions also lists transfer resources here: Admitted Transfer Students.

Incoming Students - I can't register for classes. What should I do?
Back to topFirst, you should go to your MAX account, select Student Services tab, click on Student Academic Records, then view holds. If there are no holds listed, consider contacting the Office of Admissions (incoming students) or the Office of the Registrar (returning students).
