Strategic Planning Structure

The Millersville University Governance Policy, Strategic Planning Structure, identifies key groups, group membership, and respective responsibilities that assure that the University strategic plan goals and objectives are communicated and implemented.

The Strategic Advisory Council (SAC), comprised of University stakeholders, meets throughout the academic year. The SAC’s primary responsibilities include:

  • Review updates to strategies as informed by performance indicators and progress towards expected outcomes.
  • Identify issues that arise from observation of higher education trends and external challenges or opportunities that impact the fulfillment of our mission and achievement of our goals.
  • Align planning with the Middle States Commission on Higher Education standards.
  • Provide input to the President and the Strategic Planning Steering Committee on revised or updated strategies.
