Incoming Students-Fall

Pre-Orientation 2024

The Millersville Arrival Program (MAP) is an online pre-orientation program for incoming undergraduate students. It contains important information related to your orientation program and tasks you must complete before beginning your first semester. You are expected to complete each module of the MAP as it becomes available to you. The first module of the MAP opened on March 1, 2024.

The MAP is viewable on tablets and most mobile devices in addition to your computer. You can work at your own pace, stopping and continuing at any time. Once completed, you may refer back to it at any point in your MU career!

To access the MAP, you will need to have previously activated your Millersville Online Accounts. Do this by clicking this link, https://myaccount.millersville.edu, and following the instructions under the “First Time Account Setup (Incoming Students)” icon. You will need to provide your birthdate as well as your Marauder Student Identification Number, or “M number” which can be found on your admission acceptance letter or your paid confirmation deposit email (available in your application account). You can then use your Millersville username and password to access the MAP.

Contact Undergraduate Admissions at 717-871-4625 with any questions or concerns about your next steps at Millersville University.

*Your Millersville email is how the University will convey official information to you. You should get in the habit of checking your Millersville email regularly to avoid missing important information about orientation, housing, and your academic program.

New Student Orientation 2024

Orientation for students attending Millersville University for the first time in the fall of 2024 will be delivered in a hybrid model featuring both online and in-person experiences.

Mid-Summer Programming

Each month this summer - June, July, and August - you will participate in three online meetings:

  • The Squawk will provide timely information on what you should be working on that month to be prepared for the start of the semester.
  • Academic Update will connect you with department faculty and other students in your academic concentration and help to prepare you for the academic rigors of your program.
  • New Student Meetups will allow you to hear about the experiences of current students, ask questions, and gain insights into what life is "really like" at MU.

EPPIIC WEEKEND PROGRAMMING

Your orientation continues as part of the EPPIIC Weekend Celebration, Thursday, August 22 through Sunday, August 25, 2024. This weekend before the start of the fall semester includes opportunities for you to learn more about the University community, campus services, student involvement opportunities, and the institution’s guiding values – Exploration, Professionalism, Public Mission, Integrity, Inclusion, and Compassion as well as meeting more of your peers. You will receive more information about the weekend, including move-in procedures for new residential students, in early August.

SUMMERCUES

In addition to the formal orientation program, you are invited to visit campus one more time this summer. During this optional activity, you can enjoy a summer picnic lunch, take care of some "next steps," and connect with other new students in a casual, relaxed atmosphere. Up to two (2) parent/family members may participate for an additional fee ($25/person). You will receive your invitation to a SummerCue later this spring.

Orientation Fee

Incoming students are expected to attend orientation much in the same way students are expected to attend classes. An orientation fee is included in your semester bill to cover the expenses associated with the program. This fee is charged regardless of your participation. Our commitment to campus service providers and material costs prevents the issuing of refunds should you be unable to attend the program.
