The Department of Field Services is now 'The Placement Office'. The new name emphasizes the role of this department within the College of Education and Human Services. Updates to the website are ongoing at this time.
General Information
The Placement Office encompasses the following areas:
- Early Field Experiences
- Formal Entry (Previously APS)
- Student Teaching
- Certification
- Security Clearance Collection for Field Experience Placements
Teacher candidates will complete several field experiences during their preparation for a degree and teacher certification. These field experiences have been carefully developed to compliment the educational programs and meet the necessary requirements for certification. To help meet these requirements, students must fulfill Formal Entry prerequisites to progress through the program.
To participate in required field experiences, students must keep updated and current clearances on file with The Placement Office.

We are located within the College of Education and Human Services in Stayer Hall, Room 120.
- Semester Office Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
- Summer Office Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
