Leave campus at 9:30am and return around 2:30pm+/-

  • Wind Cave, located in Pequea, Pennsylvania, is one of the largest tectonic caves in the eastern United States, formed by rock fractures rather than erosion. Situated in the Susquehanna Valley, the cave is known for its unique features. Unlike other caves, it has a strong air current blowing through its entrance and a notably cooler temperature—about 30°F, much colder than the typical 50-57°F range for Pennsylvania caves. Visitors often encounter condensation and water droplets that sparkle but add to the cold, wet atmosphere inside. $10 for transportation, helmet and headlamp. Please wear clothes that able to get dirty - they will!!
