ABOUT DR. LI
Dr. Yuan Li is an Assistant Professor in Finance at the Lombardo College of Business at Millersville University. Dr. Li comes to Millersville University after completing her Ph.D. in Finance at Florida Atlantic University. Before pursuing her doctoral studies, she earned a Master’s in Economics from FAU and also holds an International MBA from Tsinghua University.
Before joining academia, Dr. Li accrued a wealth of experience in various finance and management roles. Her career has spanned significant positions such as a financial manager and an entrepreneur. In these roles, her expertise in financial decision-making was pivotal, encompassing the management of working capital, leading fundraising initiatives, and making strategic business decisions.
Dr. Li’s primary teaching areas include courses in principle and advanced Managerial Finance, International Finance, Investment, and Personal Finance. Her research interests include topics in Corporate Finance, Venture Capital, Market Manipulation, Financial Intermediaries, Institutional Ownership, and Financial Strategies for SMEs. Her work in Entrepreneurial Finance focuses on Venture Capital, Private Equity, and Corporate Entrepreneurship.
