Dr. James Delle holds a Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of Massachusetts, M.A. in Anthropology from the College of William and Mary, and a B.A. in History from Holy Cross College. An historical archaeologists by training, Dr. Delle has published three books on the archaeology of slavery in the United States and the Caribbean, has edited five books on the subject, and is the author of more than four articles and book chapters on the subject. Dr. Delle previously served as the Chair of the Department of Anthropology and Sociology at Kutztown University, and Associate Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Shippensburg University.
