Graduate International Application Checklist

  1. Goal Statement
  2. Official academic transcripts
    • You MUST submit transcripts of all baccalaureate and graduate work from ALL colleges or universities you have attended, including undergraduate and graduate transfer institutions. 
      • Students with academic credentials from a non-US institution must have official academic credentials sent to a recognized credential evaluation service for a Course-by-Course evaluation. Evaluation results must be mailed directly to the admissions office from a recognized NACES credit evaluation service.
  3. Graduate Admission Test
    • Applicants must submit official admission test scores as required by their intended degree program. For information on which exams are required for your program, please visit the Timelines and Requirement Page.
    • Applicants with earned master’s degrees need not submit admission test scores. Certification applicants need not submit admission test scores.
  4. Proof of English Proficiency
    • Non-Native English speakers must submit official English proficiency scores. Applicants who do not meet the minimum English language requirement may be conditionally admitted based on their intended program.

  5. Recommendation Letters or Forms
    • Submit (3) recommendation forms in sealed envelopes or use the electronic recommendation request system included with the online application.

  7. Proof of Financial Support
    • International students must be able to show proof that they are capable of financing their education in the United States. Please submit the Sources of Funds form, along with supporting bank statements of sponsorship letters.
