Dr. Emily Baldys

Dr. Emily Baldys is a teacher and scholar with specialties in nineteenth-century British literature and critical disability studies. Her previous publications have explored the intersection of disability with constructions of gender, class, and domesticity in classic and contemporary literature, while her current research analyzes the discourse around inclusion in higher education. She also presents regularly on inclusive pedagogy, co-organizes Millersville Disability Pride, and serves as faculty advisor for MU ADAPT, which is a student chapter of a national organization dedicated to disability rights activism.
